For the fourth consecutive year, Fotografiska is proud to present PhotoMarket, a unique photography fair boasting some of Europe’s leading galleries, showcasing, among others, the much-talked-about Italian photographer Christian Tagliavini’s grandiose portraits and Helene Schmitz’s compelling images of the natural world. These two photographers will also participate in the absorbing F Talks which form part of the fair.
Photographic art is more popular than ever and an increasing number of people are interested in living with and perhaps also collecting photography, as an important identity-marking interior design detail, an investment or just for pleasure. A cherished tradition, Fotografiska presents a new edition of PhotoMarket where visitors are able to experience and acquire exceptional photo art. This year’s galleries include, among others, Kahmann Gallery (Amsterdam), The Photogallery (Halmstad), Camera Work (Berlin) and Willas Contemporary (Oslo). There will also be Fotografiska’s Art Partner activities.
During PhotoMarket, visitors can enjoy world-class photography and discuss photographic art with the exhibitors. The presentations include works by prominent photographers such as Gavin Evans and Clive Arrowsmith. Photographic art and photo books are available for purchase.
Our popular F Talks, where photographers talk about the artistic practices, will be held in the F Studio. The speakers include Helene Schmitz (Fotografiska’s Art Partner), whose exhibition Transitions is presently on display at Fotografiska. She will give her F Talk on Sunday at 12:00 noon and on Saturday at 18:00 photographer Christian Tagliavini (Camera Work) will present his exciting F Talk.
PhotoMarket is open to all of Fotografiska’s visitors. The entrance fee also includes the F Talks (which will be interpreted into English).
